Ethical Beauty
shirt & trousers: charity shop, brooch: vintage, shoes and belt: primark, rings: peaches and nothing & sisters
I took my velvet trousers home with every intention of customising them into a pair of shorts; but when I tried them on with this shirt I had second thoughts- so the 'DIYing' of these has been postponed, I probably will make them into shorts when I get bored of wearing them aha. Absolutely adore this shirt, another charity shop buy; it's really long so will look cute over some denim shorts in the summer as an almost dress. This is the first time I've worn my hair in a side parting in a while and my shaved bit is really too long to do it now... I just want it to grow back! Oh, I'm definitely wearing my 11 year old sisters shoes here, she's such a babe- she took these pictures for me too bless her.
Most of you will already know but thought I'd mention it just in case you don't: Motel are having a sample sale on thursday and friday this week from 10-7 in London at the Motel show room and with items from just £3!! This is when working full time drives me insane as I can't get to it, contemplated working in the London office and popping over on my lunch/ after I finish but I just don't have any money until pay day and with electricity bills of £79 to pay I am on a shopping ban. Only for another 8 days though ;)
I'm entering the ethical outfit competition over at the Ethical Fashion Blog I think it's such a good idea for a competition for us to show off our vintage pieces. I've chosen this outfit because I absolutely adore it, my velvet trousers & shirt were £4 each from charity shops and the brooch was a vintage gift. Hope you like my entry and go and enter yourselves... you have until the end of the 31st of March to get your entry in!!

Patch
I have an unhealthy obsession with shorts and I've banned myself from buying any more- so what I've done is found a way to temporarily customise my own and change it as and when :) I bought a pair of black Levis from Motel's boutique on Park Street with leopard print in the pockets and it made me think of adding material myself to other shorts, the best part is you only need to undo the stitches to get them back to normal or do something new. It's really simple and so easy but it really changes the way the shorts look, I tried it on my £1.99 charity shop shorts...
I bought the material from Oxfam it was £4.99 for a pack of patches with loads of different designs to choose from, the patch I used I didn't think I liked but when I put it next to the shorts I changed my mind. Sewing this didn't take long and my sewing is rubbish so I do apologise, this is when I need my little sisters sewing machine.
Think I'm going to wear these on Saturday night for Shit The Bed, it's a night at Motion of course, Sub Focus (my all time ever favourite), Scratch Perverts and Grooverider all under one roof? Yes please. The best part is that I have to work in Bristol Thurs and Fri for an event so travel is paid for :) lovely.

Crash
Saturday was yet another friend's 21st in Bristol, we went to OMG- it's a gay bar just off Park Street. It was the funniest night- I love going gay clubbing because you're not out to impress so you can just concentrate on having a good time. Also I got all of my Christmas shopping done this weekend, it took me 5 and a half hours but it's done and now I have no money whatsoever aha.
Dress: Motel, Tights: Primark, Boots: New Look,
Belt: Vintage, Socks & Necklaces: Primark
Rings: Peaches and Nothing, Cross Ring: Boutique73
Nails: Models Own Purple Ash & Purple Grey
In relation to my last post, the dress, tights and cross ring were also lovely birthday presents :)

Broken Promises
What a weekend, Friday I went to Motion (shock I know!) for RUN012 which starred the likes of Rusko, Andy C, Scratch Perverts and Gemini all of which were amazing, definitely a line-up to shout about... best Motion night so far? Hmm I seem to say that every time aha, they just keep getting better.
Saturday was one of my best friends 21sts, she had a house party which again was soo much fun, a couple of us chipped in for her presents and got one of the lovely necklaces from Peaches and Nothing (which she absolutely loved) and a couple of pieces from Motel including these Pamela Mann Vertical Stripe Tights which I had to buy for myself as well, they're just so cool.

Thought my tattoo looked quite cool underneath my tights too so I thought I'd share :)
Top: H&M, Belt: Vintage
Necklace & Tights: Primark
Purple Levis: Urban Outfitters Renewal
Watch: Charity Shop
I booked Monday off as holiday for recovery/ a Bristol shopping spree- coming up to Christmas Cabot is always ridiculously busy on a Saturday and I just can't cope with it! I successfully managed to blow the rest of my months wages but I did get two gorgeous dresses for some formal events I have coming up... keep your eyes peeled. Bristol looked so Christmassy with the winter market and all the decorations up, I'm usually a grinch when it comes to Christmas- (I've worked Christmas Day the last 4 years!!) But this year I'm excited and feeling rather festive.
Cardigan & Bag: Charity Shop
Shoes, Socks & Skirt: Primark
Top: Urban Outfitters
Robot Pendant & Rings: Peaches and Nothing
Nails: Models Own Beetlejuice Emerald Black
In other news I've lost my voice, I clearly can't cope with two nights out in a row and I've gone all husky. So today I was working in London greeting customers at an event whilst sounding like a man, early to bed for me tonight I think! Also I've come to the conclusion I have to go to London for an non-work-related reason, I honestly don't know why I haven't been yet.
