Brighten

Just a quickie, I'm super tired and again swore I'd be in bed by 9 but blogging and 90210 got in the way! I've come to the conclusion today that my blog needs a little re-vamp I just need more time to be able to put in to it... at risk of repeating myself... working full time is such a pain. I also need another tattoo but a money tree to fund it too please, ah I may have to start doing the lottery.

Wearing a few presents in this picture, the jumper, along side my doll ring, was a christmas present which I'm in love with. It's casual but quirky and not your normal wooly affair, because it's so colourful it really brightens up outfits. Wearing my gorgeous skull ring which was a birthday present too from my friend who also pointed me in the direction of these cross earrings from eBay, here. I have a tunnel in my left ear so I tend not to wear earrings but the time has come where it's completely acceptable to just wear one earring and this has made me extremely happy, let the unnecessary earring collection commence!!

Cross.+

A while back you might remember I completely ruined my entire white wardrobe by sticking my purple Levis in the same wash... so I tried to recover this tee here, by dying it in this post here... and finally I ordered some studs to go round the outline of the cross. I picked up the studs from eBay really cheaply and sat catching up on 90210 whilst poking the studs through the outline of the cross and pushing the prongs down with a butter knife. Even though there's a lot of studs it didn't take too long- studding things is really simple and has completely revamped my top that almost went in the bin. I just need to think of more things to stud now!

The lovely Lauryn from bracelets and bangles awarded me the liebster blog award, thank you Lauryn :)  go and check out her blog guys it's one of my favs x

Fabric

I'm going to Fabric tomorrow!! I literally could not be more excited, I definitely haven't taken advantage of living this close to London yet (work related nights out aside) and this is where it all changes because I know when I go I'll have the same addiction I have to Motion... there's some really big names DJing so it should be good, going to have to hop on the first train back to Reading in the morning though which I'm sure is not going to be fun.

I'm going to Outlook!! I cannot wait, tickets went on sale on Sunday and we snapped them up straight away, for those of you who don't know it's a dubstep and drum & bass festival in Croatia... on an island... with a beach! My actual heaven :) August cannot come soon enough...

I'm ill :( despite the upbeat tone of my post I've actually got a stinking cold but I have to recover by tomorrow, there's no option!!

Wore this outfit to shit the bed, amazing night as per- standard shorts and hi tops combo, minimal effort for the best nights!

Raindrops

Life has actually taken over and I have no time to do anything, my bedroom looks like a bombs hit it and I have no motivation whatsoever to tidy it. On the plus side I have been good and gone to the gym! Off to London today for work, it's pouring and I don't have an umbrella :(

I raided my friends wardrobes and acquired this dress and gorgeous pendant (Primark £4!!) and wore this outfit to a works do in Bristol (apologies for the dodgy lighting), vodka shots between meals and too much alcohol = me not turning up for work on time and everyone thinking I'd been kidnapped. Note to self: STOP DRINKING

Patch

I have an unhealthy obsession with shorts and I've banned myself from buying any more- so what I've done is found a way to temporarily customise my own and change it as and when :) I bought a pair of black Levis from Motel's boutique on Park Street with leopard print in the pockets and it made me think of adding material myself to other shorts, the best part is you only need to undo the stitches to get them back to normal or do something new. It's really simple and so easy but it really changes the way the shorts look, I tried it on my £1.99 charity shop shorts...

I bought the material from Oxfam it was £4.99 for a pack of patches with loads of different designs to choose from, the patch I used I didn't think I liked but when I put it next to the shorts I changed my mind. Sewing this didn't take long and my sewing is rubbish so I do apologise, this is when I need my little sisters sewing machine.

Think I'm going to wear these on Saturday night for Shit The Bed, it's a night at Motion of course, Sub Focus (my all time ever favourite), Scratch Perverts and Grooverider all under one roof? Yes please. The best part is that I have to work in Bristol Thurs and Fri for an event so travel is paid for :) lovely.

Definition

Hope you all had lovely weekends, I stayed in Reading (for like the first time ever it seems) , I went out on Friday for a friends birthday, went shopping had curry with the girls on Sat and went to the gym today, oh & I purchased a shiny new iPhone 4s due to losing my Blackberry in London, not that I can afford it but hey I needed a phone ;) I have instagram now, follow me @yasminnjade

I know a few of you had asked in this post where my definition of love ring is from- apparently the ring alongside the sunglasses necklace was off eBay and pretty cheap too, eBay is so good for cheap jewellery at the moment. Also I know my fake Litas were taken off eBay but I have good news, Dixi have brought out their own version & at only £52 they're a lot cheaper than the real thing :)

Nicola from The Fashion District kindly gave me the Kreativ Blogger award, thank youu!!  I love her blog it's so diverse, she does a mixture of outfit posts and beauty reviews so make sure you check it out!

Nails: 17 Magnetized Nail Polish- Lilac (post here)

Magnetic

I finally bought some magnetized nail polish, went for the one by 17 because it was only £5.99, not bad. It comes out like a metallic polish and then when you hover it over the little magnet that is on the lid it pulls all the magnetic bits up and it makes the wave type effect. It's pretty simple and dries really fast so if you've been thinking about getting it I'd say do it, I went for the lilac but I think the 'gun metal' looks really cool too. I need to apologise as well, I know a lot of you have done posts on magnetic nails but I can't remember who as I'm a little late jumping on the bandwagon- so if you've done a post/ review on it, feel free to leave your link as I haven't!

Summit

London tomorrow, scary presentation to do which I am so under-prepared for! But on the plus side a few of us are off for drinks after which is always good fun and usually freee :) All night I've had Skrillex ft. Ellie Goulding- Summit on repeat, it's amazing and not like Skrillex at all it's a lot more chilled out! Attempted dotty nails and then matte'd them too- don't know which I prefer- think I got a bit 'dot happy' on the middle nail too aha, also swore I'd be in bed before midnight as I have a super early start- it never happens.

Busybee

I've been so busy this week coming back to work, I'm pretty much decided on never taking time off again because I have a to do list the length of my arm and I have a presentation in London on Thurs which hasn't even been started so it's stress stress stress. However I have been productive and joined the gym, I'm doing the 3 peaks challenge in May so I need to get training. I am ridiculously unfit and climbing 3 mountains in 24 hours is going to KILL me ha, feel free to sponsor me here :)

This picture is a random outfit I wore a while back (the time of the hair 'mare, hence it being shoved up on top of my head!) You've probably seen before that my cross ring came from a shop called Boutique73 and I've been meaning to blog about it for a while. Boutique73 have two stores in Milton Keynes and a brilliant online selection, the thing I can't get over is how cheap their items are! My ring was only £3.99, everywhere else I looked was way more expensive and they have some gorgeous dresses and jumpsuits from just £8.99! They also have lovely one-off items and a few vintage pieces, I'm sensing a rather cheap wardrobe update coming along...

I'm getting very bored of this necklace and I need a new silver one, has anyone seen any nice ones about?

LIVE

My dissertation proposal is DONE. So glad that's over it was literally the worst week of my life. To celebrate Friday night I got treated to an amazing Thai meal at this little place called Tai Pan on Gloucester road in Bristol. I can't believe I've never been before the food was so nice! Talking of Thai, myself and a few friends are planing to go travelling around Thailand in the summer of 2013. I'm already getting way to excited about it and it's so far off ha.

All of my uni friends came back to Bristol this weekend so we went out to Bunker, I picked up this tee in the sale for just £10, bargain. I kinda wish I bought it in a large so I could wear it as an actual dress but the body con skirt sufficed. I branched out and bought a pair of earrings this weekend, I never wear earrings because I have the one stretched and had to re-pierce the one side, you can't see them in this post but I will do a post showing them soon.

Aztec

Random outfit post, my friend bought me this tee for my birthday, it's from Primark in the mens section and when he gave it to me his words were 'if you don't like it, I don't mind having it!' I love it, it's pretty similar to some of the mens My Yard collection at the moment- a significantly cheaper version at that. I teamed it with my faux leather skirt from H&M, Primark beenie and ring, pendant from Peaches and Nothing, my mini casio and shirt from a charity shop. You'll have to excuse the lack of face in these photos I was off to an aqua sana to have 3 hours of pampering and steaming so wasn't wearing any make-up therefore looked rough as.

New years was amazing, a friend gave us backstage passes at Motion and I spent my whole night chatting to High Contrast! He's a lovely guy and an amazing DJ with a new album on the horizon so keep your ears out for that- also ended the night dancing on the stage in front of hundreds, seemed like a good idea at the time, looking back it probably wasn't! Ha. Hope you all had a great new years eve :)

I'm not at work this week, taken a few days off to write my dissertation proposal ergh. So I'm currently being a nerd in the library, I've forgotten how to write essays it's been that long!
